Helsingin Sanomat
Helsingin Sanomat is the largest subscription newspaper in the Nordic countries. I worked mainly as a photo editor but I also wrote few article, and started in the paper as an editorial assistant. I worked at Helsingin Sanomat in 2007-2013.
I took part in the ideation meetings at several different sections of the paper. I mainly worked in the daily news department, both print and online. I also worked in the lifestyle section (including e.g. food, travel, health, cars, home) and the weekly supplement Nyt. I worked on the monthly published supplement Teema and yearly I worked on the Education supplement and the Summer supplement. My main tasks were to ideate photographs and illustrations, choose the suitable photographers and illustrators in Finland but also internationally, edit the photos delivered and collaborate with the graphic designer and the editor.
